Heriot-Watt University has been named International University of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

This is the first time the “International University of the Year” has been a category in the prestigious award, which is regarded as one of the most authoritative in the United Kingdom.

The university, which has 5 global campuses in the UK, Dubai and Malaysia, was selected in recognition of its global presence and impact.

The award also recognises Heriot-Watt University for its rich heritage and internationalism of its staff, students and partners.

The institution was also recently named as one of the top 400 universities worldwide in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018 and top 500 universities in the world in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2017.
