Ever wondered what it’s like to develop the next viral 2D game? Curious about how AI actually "thinks" when it recognises your face? Or perhaps you’ve pictured yourself defending against high-stakes cyberattacks?

Well, we have something for you!

This 7 February 2026, step into the shoes of a tech professional and join us at the Junior Computer Scientists Workshop, brought to you by Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) and EduAdvisor

This half-day experience is designed to give you a hands-on look at three of the most exciting fields in tech — Artificial Intelligence (AI), Game Development and Cybersecurity. You’ll get to choose one of three specialised workshops and participate in various interactive activities led by experts.

The specialised workshops are:

  • AI Workshop: Discover the science behind pattern recognition technology. You’ll learn how to train your own AI using your own database and work in teams to develop a unique AI project.
  • Game Development (Godot) Workshop: Using the Godot Engine 4.3, an open-source engine for game development, you’ll learn how to build your very own 2D game prototype, complete with player movement and game interactions.
  • Cybersecurity Workshop: Dive into the world of digital defence. You’ll learn how to “spot the scam” by identifying phishing, scam websites and social engineering attempts, handle security breaches, and explore real-world cybersecurity roles like Red, Blue and Purple Teams.

Alongside these activities, you’ll also have the chance to connect with APU, a Premier Digital Tech University in Malaysia, and learn more about its many technology-driven computing programmes.

Thinking of applying with them? Education advisors will also be available for one-on-one personalised counselling sessions where you can get more information on programmes and scholarships, or apply directly to APU with ease.

You’ll even receive a Certificate of Participation to mark your experience!

The workshop is free for the first 30 students.
