SPM:
- Pass in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Sejarah
- Plus three (3) credits:
  - Mathematics
  - Sciences/technical-based subjects
  - any subject
UEC:
- At least Grade B in any three (3) subjects including:
  - Mathematics
  - Sciences/technical-based subjects AND
- Pass in English
O-Level / IGCSE:
- At least Grade C in any three (3) subjects including:
  - Mathematics
  - Sciences/technical based subjects AND
- Pass in English
STPM:
- A minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any subject or equivalent qualification with a:
  - Credit in Mathematics
  - Pass in English AND
  - Pass in one (1) relevant sciences or technical based subject at SPM level or its equivalent;
Accredited Certificate:
- Accredited Certificate in Engineering/Engineering Technology and 1 semester bridging programme OR
- Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in related fields or its equivalent and 1 semester bridging programme OR
- Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SKV) in related fields or its equivalent and 1 semester bridging programme OR
- APEL.A T-4 with appropriate experience as determined by the IHL and 1 semester bridging programme

Health & Safety Requirements:

Applicants to the Engineering programme must NOT have colour blindness or physical impairments that would prevent them from carrying out experimental or practical work, as such conditions may pose safety risks during technical training and practice

Applicants who have not achieved a pass in English are required to take an internationally recognised English proficiency test to fulfill the programme’s English language entry requirements
