Entry Requirements
STPM Graduate
- Meet the University's General Requirements and Programme's Specific Requirements.
- Minimum CGPA 2.80 at STPM Level AND
- Obtained Grade B- (NGMP 2.67) at STPM Level in TWO(2) of the following subjects:
- Mathematics (T)
- Chemistry/ Physics/ Biology AND
- Obtained at least Grade B at SPM Level in TWO(2) of the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Candidates who meet the requirements in Physics or Biology at the STPM level must obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in Chemistry.
- The candidate does not have any of the following disabilities (Blindness/ Deafness/ Mute/ Learning Difficulty/ Paralysis/ Physical Disability) that make learning and practical work difficult.
Matriculation/Foundation Graduate:
- Meet the University's General Requirements and Programme's Specific Requirements.
- Minimum CGPA 2.80 at Matriculation/Foundation Level AND
- Obtained Grade B- (2.67) at Matriculation/Foundation Level in TWO(2) of the following subjects:
- Mathematics (T)
- Chemistry/ Physics/ Biology AND
- Obtained at least Grade B at SPM Level in TWO(2) of the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics AND
- Candidates who meet the requirements in Physics or Biology at the Matriculation/Foundation level must obtain at least Grade B at the SPM level in Chemistry.
- The candidate does not have any of the following disabilities (Blindness/ Deafness/ Mute/ Learning Difficulty/ Paralysis/ Physical Disability) that make learning and practical work difficult.
Diploma Graduate:
- Meet the University's General Requirements and Programme's Specific Requirements.
- Possess a Diploma in a related field from UTM/IPT/Equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 3.00; OR
- Candidates who have a CGPA of less than 3.00 but have at least TWO (2) years of working experience in a related field are eligible to apply AND
- Obtain a minimum credit (Grade C) at the SPM level in TWO (2) of the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics OR
- Obtain at least Grade C at Diploma level in any one subject of Mathematics and Physics.
- The candidate does not have any of the following disabilities (Blindness/ Deafness/ Mute/ Learning Difficulty/ Paralysis/ Physical Disability) that make learning and practical work difficult.
Note:
- Candidates are required to upload the complete examination results during the Diploma (First semester to final semester) and a copy of the Diploma or confirmation letter of completion through the UPUOnline system.
- The year of entry and the period of study are subject to the credit exemption approved by UTM.
A LEVEL/ IB/ AUSMAT Graduate or Equivalent
- Meet the University's General Requirements and Programme's Specific Requirements.
- Have a GCE A Level qualification with at least a Grade C or Possess International Baccalaureate Diploma qualifications (IB) by getting Grade 4 subjects HL level or Possess Australian Matriculation Program (AUSMAT) with Grade C/ 60% ATAR Rank in TWO (2) the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Chemistry/ Physics/ Biology AND
- Obtained at least Grade B at SPM Level in TWO(2) of the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics AND
- Candidates who meet the requirements in Physics or Biology at A Level/IB/AUSMAT level must obtain at least Grade B at SPM level in Chemistry.
- The candidate does not have any of the following disabilities (Blindness/ Deafness/ Mute/ Learning Difficulty/ Paralysis/ Physical Disability) that make learning and practical work difficult.
- MUET: Band 2
- For examinations starting in Session 1 of 2021 or
- Band 2 for examinations up to 2020, according to the validity period on the date of application.
