Entry Requirements

  • STPM: Grades BBB/ABC/AAC or CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics

  • South Australian Matriculation (SAM):
    • Aggregate/average of 80% or the equivalent of 8 in any 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics OR

    • *The NEET is required for Indian Citizen who wish to work in India
    • **Those who do not intend to work as a medical practitioner in India must provide a signed letter of undertaking witnessed by a Lawyer or Commissioner of Oath. This letter of undertaking must clearly state that they will not seek registration with the National Medical Commission of India
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma:
    • Diploma with a minimum overall score of 33 points (excluding bonus points), 2 science subjects (Biology and Chemistry) at Higher Level (HL) and Mathematics at HL AND attained a minimum score of 5 each in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Matriculation/Foundation in Science/Pre-Medical course (not less than 1 year duration in the same accredited institution):
    • CGPA of 3.50 (out of 4.00) and GPA 3.00 in 3 subjects (minimum Grade C for each subject: Biology, Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics AND
    • Minimum of 5Bs in SPM/equivalent level i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/Additional Mathematics and another subject (English Language)
  • Monash University Foundation Pre-University Programme:
    • Aggregate/average of 80% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics OR
    • 80% ATAR provided subjects include Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics
  • Diploma in Health Sciences (duration of 5 semesters OR 2.5 years in the same accredited institution):
    • CGPA of 3.50 (out of 4.00) AND
    • Minimum of 2Bs in Biology/Chemistry/Physics and 3 credits each in English Language, Mathematics/Add. Mathematics and another subject 
  • Degree in Health/Pure/Applied Sciences/Medical Sciences: CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0)
  • Degree in the Arts/Humanities: CGPA 3.50 (out of 4.00) AND
  • **Applicants MUST pass the admissions interview (Only shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview)**

Note:

  • It is compulsory for all Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery students to obtain credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu.
  • This requirement must be met within the first 2 years of the programme of study.

 

Malaysian applicants for M.B.B.S. programme must have attained a minimum of:

  • MUET: Band 4
  • O-Level/1119/UEC English: Grade A
  • IELT: Band 6.0
  • TOEFL 60(iBT)/8.5(Essentials)
  • PTE: 59
  • Cambridge English: 169/250(OET)
  •  ELS CIEP: Level 109

International applicants for M.B.B.S. programme must have a minimum of:

  • IELTS: Band 6.5
  • MUET: Band 4
  • TOEFL 79(iBT)/9.5(Essentials)
  • PTE: 63
  • Cambridge English: 176/300(OET)
  • ELS CIEP: Level 109 / equivalent.
