Entry Requirements

  • STPM: Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects
  • STAM: At least Grade Jayyid
  • A Level: Minimum 2 Passes of minimum Grade D in the relevant subjects
  • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Grade B in 5 relevant subjects
  • South Australian Matriculation (SAM): Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 relevant subjects
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Average of 70% in 2 relevant subjects (and 4 other subjects)
  • The TVET diplomas such as Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM):
    • The DKM/DLKM/DVM must be fully accredited by MQA
    • Required a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or CGPA 2.00 with at least 2 years working experience in relevant field subject to Senate/Academic Boards approval
    • Students will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum structure
    • Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect
  • Foundation in Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman: At least CGPA 2.0
  • Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman: At least CGPA 2.0
  • Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning: At least CGPA 2.0
  • Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education: At least CGPA 2.0
  • Diploma from Institutions of Higher Learning: At least CGPA 2.0
  • Advanced Diploma: At least CGPA 2.0
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • General Requirements: All applicants will be required to submit a portfolio for review, regardless of whether they have taken the SPM Art subject
  • Portfolio submission:
    • Submit three drawings that must demonstrate specific artistic skills. The completed drawing or artwork must be clearly scanned or photographed and then submitted as individual JPEG files. A detailed description of the drawing requirements and submission process will be provided.
    • In addition to the above submission, a video recording of the drawing process of all three drawings must be submitted via WeTransfer or Plus Transfer. The video should capture the applicant's face during the drawing process with close-ups of the drawing. A detailed description of the video recording and submission process will be provided.
    • The panel reserves the right to invite the applicant for an interview if questions arise.
  • Note: Exemption from the requirement for the portfolio submission or internal assessment will be considered for Foundation/Matriculation/Diploma in the relevant field or equivalent qualifications.
