The BCET programme at UniKL MICET covers topics in foundation and chemical engineering technology. Throughout the programme, students learn both fundamental and specialized subjects. Some subjects build upon previously learned knowledge, creating a continuous flow of learning.
The programme offers three main specializations, which students can choose starting from semester five: Process, Polymer, and Environment. It focuses on teaching students about the design, operation, and maintenance of chemical and material manufacturing processes.
In addition, the programme covers developing new processes, project engineering, and troubleshooting, preparing students for a wide range of industries such as:

Entry Requirements
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent: Minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject
- Pass A-Level: Minimum Grade D in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject.
- Pass Matriculation: Minimum CGPA 2.0 with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject.
- STAM: Minimum Jayyid minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject or equivalent.
- Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB): At least 24 points.
- Recognised Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent: Minimum CGPA 2.0
- Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.
- Recognised related Technical / Vocational / Skills Diploma with minimum CGPA 2.0
- APEL A as prescribed by MQA based on appropriate justifications by the IHL
Note 1: Entry DVM/DKM & DLKM starting 21 April 2020
I. Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and the programme must get Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or other Accreditation bodies that are recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.
II. Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field. The programme must get Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or other Accreditation bodies that are recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.
Note 2: For International students
I. Minimum requirements IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
II. Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
- It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin.
- It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
III. Students who enrol with qualification from institutions that fully use English as the language of instruction or from English speaking countries are EXCLUDED from the requirements of competence in English language.
