Course Structure
The Bachelor of Electronic Engineering Technology (Microelectronics) with Honours is a specialised programme designed to produce industry-ready technologists with strong technical knowledge and hands-on skills in semiconductor and microelectronic technologies. It supports national agenda by focusing on areas such as IC design, semiconductor fabrication, packaging, failure analysis, with embedded IoT applications. The curriculum integrates theoretical learning with practical experience through advanced laboratory work, final-year projects and industrial training. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in multiple sectors especially in electronics, microelectronics and semiconductors.
Majors in engineering technology will be able to:
PLO 1 : Knowledge
Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and Electronic engineering technology to define and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies. (SK1 to SK4)
PLO 2 : Problem Analysis
Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse broadly define engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialization. (SK1 to SK4)
PLO 3 : Design / Development of Solutions
Design solutions for broadly defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety cultural, societal and environmental consideration. (SK5)
PLO 4 : Investigation
Conduct investigations of broadly defined problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion. (SK8)
PLO 5 : Modern Tool Usage
Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to broadly-defined engineering problems, with an understanding of the limitations. (SK6)
PLO 6 : The Engineer and Society
Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibility relevant to engineering technology practice and solutions to broadly-defined engineering problems.(SK7)
PLO 7 : Environment and Sustainability
