Entry Requirements

  • Matriculation in Science/Foundation in Science:
    • Minimum CGPA 2.50 including any 3 of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics.

  • A Level/STPM: Minimum 3D including any 3 of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or minimum CGPA 2.50 in STPM (Science Stream)
  • UEC:
    • Minimum B5 each in any 3 of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics; and minimum B6 in 2 other subjects.

  • Australian Year 12/New South Wales High School Certificate Programme HSC UNSW/SACE/AUSMAT: Average score 14 (60% ATAR/TER) including any 3 of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics.
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Average score 14 (60%) including any 3 of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum total score of 26 points; including any 2 science subjects or Mathematics in high level, 1 subject science or Mathematics in standard level, and attained minimum score 4 in subjects Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
  • Pre-U:
    • A minimum CGPA of 2.5 or 60% in 3 science subjects.

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or General Certificate of Education Ordinary
  • ("O") levels: minimum 5C in at least 3 of the following subjects: Biology, Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics
  • English Language Requirements: Minimum grade of A2 in UEC English Language; or Band 3 in MUET; or 42 in TOEFL; or grade C in O Level or IGCSE or English 1119; or grade B+ in SPM English; or 154 in Cambridge English Qualification; or 154 in Cambridge Linguaskill; or 47 in Pearson Test; or score of 5 in IELTS.

In the event that the English Language Requirements are not met, student may be required to undertake additional English module(s) prior to or concurrently with the undergraduate programme, based on the University's decision.

International students holding equivalent academic qualifications, but which are not conducted in English, are required to sit for the English Placement Test, which may result in the taking of the English for Tertiary Education (1 to 10 months). Students who intend to pursue the above undergraduate programme directly, are advised to fulfil the above English requirements prior to commencing their studies at the University.
