Entry Requirements
Malaysian Students
Option 1:
- Possess Diploma in Nursing (MQF Level 4) or its equivalent
- Minimum three (3) months working experience in public health
- Possess a Post Basic in Midwifery Registered with Nursing Board Malaysia
- Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Option 2:
- Possess Diploma in Nursing (MQF Level 4) or its equivalent
- Possess a Post Basic in Public Health Nursing
- Registered with Nursing board Malaysia
- Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
International Students
- Possess Diploma in Nursing (MQF Level 4) or its equivalent
- Minimum three (3) Years clinical working experience
- Registered with Nursing Council or Board of country of origin
- Possess a post basic in Public Health Nursing or Midwifery subject to approval of the Selection Committee of the University
- Possess a current Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from Nursing Board Malaysia before clinical placement
Health Status
- All candidates must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one-month form commencement of the nursing programme.
- All candidates will be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within one month of commencement of programme.
Candidates with any of the following medical conditions cannot be admitted into the programme such as:- HIV / AIDS
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
- Mental health disorders
- Epilepsy
- Colour blindness
- Candidate must not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity
- Pregnancy is not allowed throughout the course
International Students
- Pass International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with minimum score of 5.5 or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as a medium of instruction.
