Entry Requirements
- Matriculation/Foundation: CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00 AND credits in the following subject at SPM level or equivalent:
- i. Additional Mathematics; OR
- ii. Mathematics and any one (1) science or technology or engineering*
- STPM non-science stream: Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects AND credits in the following subject at SPM level or equivalent:
- i. Additional Mathematics; OR
- ii. Mathematics and any one (1) science or technology or engineering*
- *Note: Candidates without credit in Additional Mathematics must pass a Preparatory Mathematics Module in the first semester of study, before being allowed to further the second semester. The Preparatory Mathematics Module can be completed concurrently with other first semester subjects which do not rely on soundness in Additional Mathematics. The Preparatory Mathematics Module requirement can be waived if the candidate has passed any Mathematics subject with similar syllabus during Matriculation/Foundation/Diploma or its equivalent
- STPM science stream: Grade C (GP 2.0) in any one (1) Mathematics subject and any one (1) Science/ICT subject
- Diploma in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Information Systems or equivalent: CGPA 2.50 out of 4.00 AND a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent. Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 with a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process
- Any Diploma in science and technology: CGPA 2.75 out of 4.00
Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment; AND a credit in Additional Mathematics OR a credit in Mathematics and any one Science, Technology, or Engineering subject at SPM level or its equivalent, may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process - DKM / DVM in Computing Fileds (LEvel 4, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP senate / Academic Board's approval
- STAM: Jayyid, and credits in any one (1) Mathematics subject and any one (1) Science/ICT subject
- AUSMAT: ATAR 55
- Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government:. (Candidates can be admitted if their admission qualification contains Mathematics subject(s) equivalent to Additional Mathematics at the SPM level. If it is not equivalent, reinforcement Mathematics subject that equivalent to the SPM level must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer).
Notes:
- Students are required to pass the reinforcement Mathematics before being allowed to take related core courses. The candidate can sit for any subjects that did not indicate Mathematics as a prerequisite.
- Reinforcement Mathematics can contribute to the overall graduating credit.
- The credit requirement at SPM level can be waived should the grades obtained at the STPM/STAM/Diploma/Matriculation/Foundation level are equivalent/higher Students enrolling on a Dual Award programme will be subject to the English requirements of UWTSD/UK
International Students
- IELTS: Minimum score of 5.0
- MUET: Minimum score of Band 3
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 500
- English language requirements can be waived if the international student EITHER comes from a country that uses English as the official language OR the entry qualification uses English as the medium of instruction
