Entry Requirements

Any of the below:

Recognised Matriculation OR Foundation OR equivalent: CGPA 2.00; OR
STPM: 2 passes with minimum Grade C (GPA 2.00); OR
A Level: 2 Principal Passes OR equivalent; AND
SPM level/O Level OR equivalent: A credit in the following courses:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
- Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Mathematics at STPM level/A Level OR equivalent AND a credit in one of the Science, Technology or Engineering at SPM level/O Level OR equivalent
STPM (science stream): 2 passes with minimum Grade C (GPA 2.00) OR equivalent in Mathematics AND Science/ICT
United Examination Certificate (UEC): 5 Bs including Additional Mathematics OR a credit in the following at SPM level/O Level OR equivalent:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
- Grade B in Mathematics at UEC AND a credit in one of the Science, Technology or Engineering at SPM level/O Level OR equivalent;
- Grade B in Mathematics AND one of the Science/ICT, Technology or Engineering at UEC.
CPU: 5 passes with a minimum average of 50% AND a credit in the following at SPM level/O Level OR equivalent:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
SAM/TEE examination: 5 passes with a university aggregate of 50% and a credit in the following at SPM/O Level OR equivalent:
- Additional Mathematics OR;
- Mathematics AND one of the Science, Technology or Engineering;
A Diploma in Computer Science/Information Systems/Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent: Minimum CGPA 2.50 OR
Any other Diploma in Science and Technology: Minimum CGPA 2.50

Notes:

Candidates with category (b) need to take Mathematics reinforcement course with topics relevant to Computer Science at the beginning of their studies.
Students must pass the Mathematics reinforcement course as a prerequisite before being allowed to take the relevant core course. However, this provision does not prevent students from pursuing other courses either core or non-core that do not require the Mathematics reinforcement subject.
Credit hours for Mathematics reinforcement course is an additional credit to core courses and cannot be taken into account for credit for graduation.
Mathematics reinforcement course requirements may be excluded if the Mathematics at the Matriculation or recognised Foundation or its equivalent offers Mathematics and its achievement is equivalent to/above the credit requirements of the
Additional Mathematics course at SPM level. Candidates for category diploma with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.
