High Flyers Reach Soaring Heights with Taylor’s World Class Scholarship Award

It was a proud moment for 16 high achievers when they received the highly prestigious Taylor’s World Class Scholarship (TWCS) by Taylor’s University. Held on 11 October 2019, the special award ceremony took place at the Taylors Lakeside Campus.
Recipients were awarded a full scholarship to study at Taylor’s and a guaranteed internship or a spot in management trainee programmes with leading industry partners. This includes oil and gas multinational BASF PETRONAS, financial services companies CIMB Group and Maybank, professional accounting firm BDO and technology companies Microsoft, IBM and Oracle.
According to Professor Michael Driscoll, Vice-Chancellor and President of Taylor’s University, the students’ holistic development through industry-relevant education is their ultimate priority.
“We ensure that our curriculum is updated and current with what the industry requires, and innovate on our students’ total experience while learning at Taylor’s. Part of this is our innovation with the Taylor’s World Class Scholarship programme, which equips students not just with financial support but also by opening doors to the best industrial experience in the country today,” he said.
The highly sought-after scholarship has seen Taylor’s Education Group empower close to 200 youths since its introduction 14 years ago, with approximately RM 19 million being channelled to elevate deserving candidates academically and industrially.
With a proven track record of over 50 years, Taylor’s approach and methodology towards education has earned it as the best private university for employer reputation in Malaysia according to the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020.
