Held on Wednesday 15 May 2019, the much-anticipated Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) Mega Career Fair offered plenty of exciting career opportunities for lucky students and alumni of the university.
Organised by the Career Centre of APU, Human resources (HR) personnel from more than 120 Malaysian and international companies participated in the 1-day annual fair, which aimed to create a platform for students and alumni to interact with employers and discover internships or full-time jobs before they graduate.
The career fair experience was heightened with informative exhibition booths and on-the-spot face-to-face interviews conducted by HR personnel looking for potential candidates.
Exciting Job Opportunities at the APU Mega Career Fair
Around 6,000 students participated in APU’s Mega Career Fair, where more than 1,500 full-time and internship opportunities were offered locally and internationally. Fields open to employment were Information Technology (IT), Data Science, Cyber Security, Finance, Business Management and more.
The career fair’s success was indicated when a representative from DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services showed an interest in hiring APU candidates for international positions. “In our opinion, APU is the most internationalised university in Malaysia, hence we are here to look for interns and fresh graduates to join our Finance and Accounts team amongst the international and local talent pool at APU”, they said.

Other participating exhibitors included PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Petronas, AIG, Time DotCom, Schlumberger, Oracle, Astro, Maybank, KPMG and more. On top of that, the exhibit list also comprised delegate representatives for international companies in Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia.
