Asia Pacific University (APU) has reached a tremendous milestone by achieving a 5 Stars Plus university rating by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) — making it the first and only university in Malaysia to receive such an exclusive accolade. This puts APU in a word-class position as one of only 18 universities in the world to have this prestigious rating.

Achieving the elite 5 Stars Plus rating

The QS Stars rating system is an award system developed by QS to give students an additional tool to use when choosing a university. Universities are rated between 1 and 5 stars across a number of categories. To be awarded a 5 Stars Plus, an institution must achieve 5 stars in 8 categories and score a minimum number of points. A 5 Star Plus university indicates a truly elite institution — one where its brand will transform the résumé of anyone connected with it.

As a 5 Star Plus university, APU achieved a 5-star rating in nine categories — the maximum possible — in the following: Teaching, Employability, Internationalisation, Academic Development, Facilities, Online Learning, Social Responsibility, Inclusiveness and Specialist Criteria — Accounting & Finance.
